On 7 December the German Sustainability Award 2019 has been granted in Düsseldorf. IMPAC3, represented by speaker Prof. Johannes Isselstein, was honoured with a top 3 ranking in the Research category. In the project IMPAC3, IAPN research associate Annika Lingner, together with researchers from ten other institutes at the University of Göttingen, investigates the question of how mixed cropping can improve biodiversity and land use efficiency.
Winner of the Research category is the project “F.R.A.N.Z.” (Future Resources, Agriculture & Nature Conservation), which is jointly coordinated by the Environmental Foundation Michael Otto and the German Farmers' Association, also comprising involvement of the University of Göttingen. Among the top 3 is further the project „Standardized Monitoring of Insects in Nature Reserves“.
The IAPN congratulates all participants of the three projects on their great success.
